Pro tips for preparing for your session.

Mama's preparation is key!

I know it can be overwhelming when planning outfits for your family, and I hope to take that worry off your shoulders with the following pro tips below.

I've compiled 10 pro tips to make planning your session less stressful.

1. order/ purchase your clothing at least month in advance
2. everyone must try on the outfits (allow enough time to make returns) make sure the fit is just right, no one wants to worry about bra straps, constantly having to make adjustments, showing too much cleavage
3. pick coordinating (no matching) items of clothing: include florals & patterns, no flourecent colors, ideally everyone should be in a different colors or patterns so you can mix & match who you're standing by. You will get more variety in your posing and more pictures! It's a win win.
4. send me a picture your outfits: I love helping families with styling. I know what looks good and what doesn't after doing this for 12 years.
5. you don't have to purchase all new clothes: a lot of times you have what you need right in your own closet, or you can use my style closet as well, or thrift items
6. go barefoot :)
7. iron or steam all clothing the night before and hang your clothes: I can't edit or fix wrinkles nor do I want to attempt to. Feel free to change your clothes at the location if you have messy or young kiddos, just allow enough time before the start of the session to do so.
8. don't forget to add accessories: jewelry... hats...jackets... don't be afraid to personalize your session. If your child loves a certain stuffed animal or favorite truck or dolly
9. leave your cell phones in the car or I can put them in my camera bag at the start the session. I want you to be present with your family, creating memories
10. feed your children before a session or bring snacks: I hate being hungry as do kiddos. I recommend bringing a snack that you don't mind having photographed. For example, slices of watermelon at the end of the session can be really fun and refreshing for your kiddos.
